Eryn Grant

Eryn has 12 years’ experience in applied research investigating human interactions with technology and completed an honours degree (first class) at Queensland University of Technology. She joined the Centre of Human Factors and Sociotechnical Systems located at the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2014 working on multiple projects using systems based methods to improve safety performance. Eryn began her post graduate studies in 2015 in the centre receiving an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) to investigate human factors methods and accident prediction.

Eryn’s current research is concerned with systems theory, enhanced accident analysis and accident prediction in safety critical domains. She is completing her PhD at the University of Sunshine Coast, investigating ways to forecast accidents before they occur applying methods of system thinking to accident causation.
